The Southeastern Virginia Spinning Guild was founded in 1985 in an effort to create a resource for practicing and aspiring fiber artists in Southeastern Virginia.

Our aim is to promote appreciation and knowledge of the fiber arts in our community through demonstrations, fairs, and other activities; provide a support network for fiber artists and enthusiasts in our area; keep the fiber arts alive by encouraging others to take up spinning, weaving, knitting, and other related areas; and support local and global fiber related causes.

We meet monthly at Great Bridge Presbyterian Church, across from Chesapeake City Hall. Directions can be found here.

Meetings take place at 6:30pm on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
